One reflex: Presidential Rhetoric site. Maintained by Martin Medhurst, professor of rhetoric and communication at Baylor University (Texas), and Paul Stob, assistant professor of communication at Vanderbilt University, this site is a wonderful database which contain most of the great speeches of Presidents U.S. but the rhetoric of presidential campaigns as well as scripts for television debates.
The site also offers links to many other online resources (including sites of archives of former presidents. But beyond the raw text, the site contains little information or analysis context (but noted a small literature review).
To complete a site wider audience (unfortunately streaky commercial links and ads): American Rhetoric . This has the advantage of offering many audio or even video ( especially for es 100 greatest speeches of the U.S. policy in the 20 th century ). It also provides definitions and examples of rhetorical figures (from alliteration to synecdoche) and some basic theories of rhetoric.
